Kindergarten Options

2010-2011 Kindergarten Roundup 

If you have a child who will be five (5) years old on or before December 1, 2010, you and your child are invited to attend Kindergarten Roundup.

Date:           Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Place:         Parke Lane Elementary (21610 Parke Lane)

Sessions:  9:30 am OR 12:30 pm

You must sign up for Roundup by calling Patti Kilar 734-362-2580. 

Enrollment Packet/Forms

To officially enroll your student for the 2010-2011 school year you must complete an Enrollment Packet.  Packets can be picked up at the Administration Office (behind the Middle School) between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.  You can also choose to print the forms below and complete them prior to registering.  You will be required to bring the completed forms and the documents listed on our Enrollment Options page when registering your child.

Starting Off Right

Grosse Ile Township Schools offers parents and children multiple options for this most important initial education experience.  Currently the following Kindergarten options are available:

• All Day Kindergarten
• Young 5's Kindergarten Program 

Below you will find information on each of these programs.

All Day Kindergarten

Parke Lane Elementary (Kdg - 2nd Grade)

An all-day Kindergarten experience is also offered at Parke Lane, our early elementary building.  Kindergarten Round-Up is generally held in March of the school year.  At this time parents receive their registration paperwork.

Young 5's Program

In addition to the above experiences, we offer a Young Five's program.  Deciding exactly when to begin a youngster in Kindergarten is a decision that frequently requires insights from both teachers and parents.  Young Five's is yet another Kindergarten option for Grosse Ile families as they decide what is best for their child.
