Mission Statement

The Grosse Ile Art Department believes that all students benefit from practicing the higher order thinking skills necessary for creative synthesis, problem solving and self-reflection.  Toward that aim, students study the four disciplines of art; production, art history, criticism and aesthetic questioning.  Each student is encouraged to be unique, expressing themselves in an individual way. 

 Exhibit Locations

Current exhibit locations are the Downriver School Employees Credit Union at Gibralter/Allen Rds, the Grosse Ile District Central Office, and the GI High School.
