Grosse Ile offers a picturesque setting for many recreational activities. A bike path winds its way through the center of the island, where residents walk, bike and run. Island residents often boat across to neighboring Canada for lunch, dinner or pleasure. Grosse Ile has several boat clubs, golf clubs and a Municipal Airport.
Grosse Ile Township Schools has one High School, one Middle School and two Elementary Schools. Enrollment averages 2,000 students annually. Students benefit from a commitment to small class sizes and personalized instruction led by an exceptionally trained staff. An academically rigorous curriculum is balanced by a wide range of Fine Arts, extra and co-curricular activities and more athletic opportunities per student than any other Michigan school district.
This district is committed to a positive and proactive direction for its students and their future. This sets Grosse Ile apart and creates a unique advantage... based on achievements, tremendous community support and vision for the future.
