Tips for Contacting Your Elected Officials

• Always include your last name and address on the letter. A letter cannot be answered if there is not return address or the signature is illegible.
• Be friendly and respectful. Remember, your actions, tone, and attitude will reflect upon you and Grosse Ile Township Schools.
• Be brief. Write one page with a short opening and two or three paragraphs on the subject. Feel free to use our sample letter or our advocacy talking points.
• Be candid and personal. Include how you have benefited from Grosse Ile and public education in general.
