Classroom Technology

This section of the website will be a place where parents can find out about emerging technologies and how these technologies can be used to enhance their children's education.  Parents will also learn how these 21st Century skills are a must for their children if they are going to be successful in college and in their everyday lives.

Digital Learners

Today's children are known as Digital Learners.  They are the first generation to spend their entire lives with technology.  From the time these children were born to where they are today, they have been surrounded with various technologies.  Most of us are considered to be Digital Immigrants because we did not grow up with technology.  As digital immigrants many of us struggle to understand the full scope of today's world of instant communication, collaboration, digital media, and various creative mediums.

Parent Resources

In an effort to help parents and community members bridge the gap between digital native and digital immigrant, this section of the website has been dedicated to provide information about classroom technologies that the District's students are currently using.

This section of the website is just beginning to take shape, so please be patient as the District begins to locate resources and post them here.  There should be a wealth of information posted here in the Fall of 2009.
