I am a graduate of The University of Michigan Dearborn, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with certifications in English and Social Studies.  I also have a Masters degree as a Special Education Inclusion Specialist from the University of Michigan Dearborn.  I have worked in the Grosse Ile school district since August, 2003, starting off at the High School and then transferring to the Middle School in 2009.  I love teaching at the Middle School, as it is an interesting and rewarding experience and the hard work of the staff members is something to be proud of.  Please contact me any time at schmita@gischools.org or (734) 362-2535.
