Points of Pride

• The Guided Reading Program has been implemented for K-5.  This program was made possible through funding from P.A.T. and Grosse Ile Educational Foundation (GIEF).
• Motor Moms and Dads continues through the assistance of parents.  The program helps improve gross motor skills, which have been proven to help in the academic advancement of children.
• Each year Fifth graders participate in the mini society of Exchange City.
• Study Island program was purchased for 2nd through 5th graders by the Grosse Ile Educational Foundation (GIEF).
• The Collins' Writing Program has been implemented K-12.  Each summer Teachers participate in a workshop before school begins in the fall.  Portfolios are being kept on each child to observe improvement.
• Various technologies, including Classroom Performance Systems are used by the staff and the students on a regular basis.
