Welcome to 5th Grade

5th Graders will spend their last year in elementary school participating in many activities, programs, and adventurous field trips.

DAILY ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED ON OUR CLASS MOODLE SITES

Fifth Grade Activities

Students will have an opportunity to participate in the school safety program, the recycling committee, and the school's student run credit union program called Learn 2 Earn. Fifth graders will produce a news program weekly called GOOD MORNING MERIDIAN.  Fifth graders will also be planning our four parties this year - the Halloween, Holiday, Valentines and End of the Year party. Fifth grade students have an opportunity to join the fifth grade band  .Please consult the school calendar for your child's band schedule.

Field Trips

We have 2 field trips planned for this school year. In December , fifth graders will run a simulated city called Exchange City. Then, during the week of May 16-20, students and teachers will spend a fun-filled week at Camp Storer in Jackson, MI.

DARE Program

Fifth graders will also participate in the 15 week DARE program with Officer Pelland. The program will conclude with a DARE graduation. Graduation date will be determined at a later date.

Spanish Class

In addition to core academic classes, the fifth grade students will experience Spanish instruction.   Senora McGee will teach lessons facilitating  the art of speaking Spanish.
