Mrs. Gonyea's Fourth Grade

Hi, my name is Emily Gonyea. I have loved teaching in the Grosse Ile Township School District for the past 11 years. I began my career as a kindergarten teacher at Parke Lane and went on to teach a year of first grade and a year of second grade before settling in to my current 4th grade position. I love teaching fourth grade and seeing my students grow as readers and writers.

I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with minors in Science, Integrated Creative Arts, and Early Childhood Education. I went on to complete my Master's degree in reading at Eastern Michigan University.

My husband Marc is also a teacher and I have two beautiful children named Andrew and Claire. In my free time I enjoy shopping, reading and spending time with my family.
