A little bit about me: I am not a native MIchigander.  As a transplant from Western New York, I moved to the Metro Detroit area in 1998 to begin my teaching career.  After working for two other school systems, I came to Grosse Ile in 2004.  My BA degree in psychology and elementary education provides the foundation for child development and curricular knowledge.  I earned my MA degree is special education focusing on inclusion and learning disabilities.  I have put all of my 12 years of teaching to use in different ways as I work with students.

My mission is to help your child become a more independent student, preparing them not only for the next grade level but also for life. Life skills and problem solving skills are taught in the classroom in addition to academics to help students be successful, independent individuals.  Working with parents to ensure consistent practices helps to make the students as successful as possible.
