Principal's Message

June 2010 

Dear Parents and Students,

Summer is here. Our students are certainly excited for another great summer in Grosse Ile. Boating, swimming, hiking, biking, traveling, reading and family parties are all things students have told me they will be doing over the next couple of months. I can't imagine a better place to grow up.

What a great school year. Our students really committed themselves to academic excellence as well as embracing our message about kindness, courtesy and respect. I certainly had a great year being their Principal.

We have begun planning in earnest for next year and we think it will be another outstanding year. We will miss the teachers who are retiring. They have taught us so much about how to be good teachers, great students and wonderful people. Just as they will be missed, we are very excited about the new staff members coming to our building. We will maintain the middle school vision and character and continue to excel at making our middle school a great place to learn.

Although summer will be busy, please find the time to Vote on August 3rd. Two millage renewals will be on the ballot. If you have any questions regarding these renewal requests please contact the district Superintendent.

To our students entering High School next year I want to extend the staff's best wishes. We have confidence that you will create bright futures for yourself.

Lets all have a safe and happy summer. I look forward to seeing you all in the fall. I will be answering email all summer long and we will continue to update our website so feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance over the summer.
