UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN CLUB OF GREATER DETROIT
The University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit is sponsoring twelve unique scholarship opportunities for quality citizen-students who will be an incoming Freshman in the Fall of 2018. Students can apply to the scholarships before acceptance to U of M but must be part of the incoming class of the fall of 2018. NFL ALUMNI - DETROIT CHAPTER STUDENT ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP
The NFL Alumni - Detroit Chapter is sponsoring two unique scholarship opportunities for student athletes. Each scholarship awards a $2,500 scholarship to one female and one male high school student athlete. Please visit their website at https://nflalumnidet.org/. Application deadline is March 2, 2018. Note: Children of current or former NFL players are not eligible.
MICHIGAN EDUCATION ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
Last year the MEA awarded 41 scholarships totaling $47,250 ($1,500 to 22 new winners and $750 to 19 returning college students). Priority is given on the basis of academic achievement; extra-curricular activities; school and community service and students from lower income households. THE AVE MARIA FOUNDATION "MICHIGAN SCHOLARSHIP"
Ava Maria University is offering the Michigan Scholarship of $28,000 ($7,000/year for 4 years) for qualified Michigan resident students to attend this University. Criteria: must be a resident of the state of Michigan; applicant must be a first-time college freshman with a high school GPA of 2.8 or above; have an ACT score of 22 or above or SAT score of 1100 or above; maintain a university GPA of at least a 2.5 to keep the scholarship. NATIONAL WACE CO-OP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
WACE will award up to 160 merit co-op scholarships for a total value of $4,200,000. These merit scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of their partner institutions. (University of Toledo, Rochester Institute of Technology, Clarkson University, Merrimack College, Oswego State University of New York, University of Cincinnati, University of Massachusetts Lowell, and Wentworth Institute of Technology). To qualify, students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better and apply to one of the above listed WACE partner institutions. For more information go to www.waceinc.org. UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN DEARBORN ALUMNI LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP
In 1997, the University of Michigan-Dearborn Alumni Society established the Alumni Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship is appropriately named, as it will perpetuate the legacy of the University of Michigan-Dearborn tradition by providing scholarships to academically talented students with familial or other significant relationships to UM-Dearborn graduates (i.e. child, sibling, grandchild, spouse, stepchild, niece, nephew or cousin). COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan offers dozens of scholarship funds for graduating high school seniors. Students only need to submit one application through the general application link to be considered for any scholarship for which they are eligible. The Detroit section of the Society of Women Engineers annually recognizes high school women who have shown exemplary abilities in areas such as leadership, academics, and community activities and who intend to pursue a college degree in engineering.
