As we begin Student Council election season, we want to emphasize that we are looking for serious candidates who are truly ready to take on leadership roles. Next year will bring many responsibilities for both our Executive Board and Class Officer teams, and we need students who are committed, dependable, and willing to put in the time and effort to support our school community. These roles are not just titles — they require dedication, teamwork, and follow-through.
If you're not quite ready for a major leadership role, running as a Representative is a great way to stay involved, gain experience, and see if a leadership position is something you’d like to pursue in the future.
Student Council election season is here, and we’re excited to see who will step up to lead and represent our school community!
How to Run:
For Representative Positions: Fill out the Google form linked below for your grade level.
For Class Officer or Executive Board: Fill out the Google form AND pick up a Staff Recommendation Form from Mrs. Chessor.
Please make sure you carefully review all requirements and deadlines below:
April 17th: Application Form Closes
By this date, all candidate videos (for officers and executive board) and staff recommendation forms must also be submitted to Mrs. Chessor at chessok@gischools.org
April 20th–22nd: Interviews
You will receive an email with your assigned interview time. Attendance is required, so please make sure you are available and arrive on time.
April 24th–29th: School-Wide Voting Period
The voting form will be sent out to all students on April 24th and will close on April 29th.
