It is our honor to recognize two students whose dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have set them apart throughout their high school careers. Through years of hard work, determination, and a passion for learning, they have achieved the highest levels of academic success in the Class of 2026. Today, we proudly recognize our Valedictorian and Salutatorian for their outstanding accomplishments.

Bailey Kerr

Bailey Kerr is the 2026 Valedictorian of Grosse Ile High School, earning a GPA of 4.57. During high school, she served as Vice President of Key Club and Environmental Club, and as Treasurer for the Class of 2026 Student Council, Cornerstone Club, and Girl Up Club. Bailey was also an active member of National Honor Society and French Club. She earned four Varsity letters in Track and Field and three in Cross Country, while dedicating over 300 hours to community service. This fall, she will attend the University of Michigan to study Cellular and Molecular Biomedical Science. Bailey would like to thank her family and the Grosse Ile High School staff for their unwavering support over the past four years.

Linda

Linda Luppino is the 2026 Salutatorian of Grosse Ile High School, earning a GPA of 4.32. During her time at GIHS, she served as Business Lead for the Wired Devils Robotics Team and was an active member of Travel Club, Girl Up Club, Aviation Club, Theater Stage Crew, and National Honor Society. Linda earned four Varsity letters in Girls’ Golf and also competed in Varsity Rowing as a coxswain. In addition to her school involvement, she has maintained a freelance art business for the past five years, building a customer base of over 150 clients, which she plans to continue in college. This fall, Linda will attend the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, where she plans to dual major in Molecular Biology and Political Science, with minors in Anthropology and Studio Art. Linda is grateful for the many opportunities provided to her at Grosse Ile High School and thankful for the unwavering support of her family.

The Class of 2026 holds a special place in Grosse Ile High School history as the first graduating class to earn weighted grade point averages. Bailey and Linda’s accomplishments reflect not only academic excellence, but also their willingness to challenge themselves and pursue rigorous coursework. We are proud of their achievements and look forward to all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
