Behind every Homecoming King and Queen is a story, and for Jack Epperson and Reese Wood, that story includes the people who have inspired them most.
Homecoming King Jack Epperson was walked by his mom, Ashley Epperson, and dad, Rob Epperson. When asked who inspires him, Jack shared that he looks up to both of his parents for the example they have set for him.
He describes his mom as the hardest worker he knows and his best friend, while his dad has taught him to find the good in difficult situations and always stay positive. Jack also credits his dad as the best youth football coach he knows.
Jack shared his gratitude for both of his parents, saying, “Thank you for getting me to where I am now.”
Homecoming Queen Reese Wood was walked by her mom, Heather Wood, and grandmother, Deborah Chandler. Reese chose to highlight her grandma, Debbie, as the person she looks up to most.
She describes her grandmother as the most thoughtful, steadfast, and loving woman she knows. After surviving cancer three times, Debbie has continued to demonstrate those qualities and inspire Reese through her strength and resilience.
Reese shared, “I hope that I too, can continue to show goodness throughout hard times. I love you grandma.”
Congratulations to Jack and Reese, and to the parents and family members who have supported, encouraged, and inspired them along the way.
