We are excited to begin another year of administering the PSAT and SAT assessments. These important tests help open many doors for our students by supporting college admissions, scholarship opportunities, and future planning. As we prepare for testing, we want to share key information about our upcoming state testing schedule on April 8–9, along with a few adjustments families should be aware of.

State standardized assessments play an important role in measuring academic growth and preparing students for college and career success. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and successful testing experience for all students.


Testing Dates and Assessments

Wednesday, April 8

  • Juniors: SAT

  • Sophomores: PSAT 10

Thursday, April 9

  • Juniors: WIN Work Readiness Assessment
    (This assessment replaces the former ACT WorkKeys test.)

  • Freshmen: PSAT 9

Both testing days are full school days for all students. Students not taking standardized tests will participate in class meetings, work sessions, and study halls during the morning hours.


Daily Schedule Overview

Testing Blocks (April 8 & 9)

  • Section 1: 7:28 AM – 9:30 AM

  • Break: 9:30 AM – 9:45 AM

  • Section 2: 9:45 AM – 11:25 AM

Lunch Schedule

  • A Lunch / 4th Hour: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • B Lunch / 4th Hour: 12:05 PM – 12:35 PM

Lunch will be served for all students after testing is completed.


Afternoon Class Schedule

Wednesday, April 8 (Day 1)

  • 1st Hour: 12:40 PM – 1:13 PM

  • 2nd Hour: 1:18 PM – 1:51 PM

  • 3rd Hour: 1:56 PM – 2:30 PM

Thursday, April 9 (Day 2)

  • 5th Hour: 12:40 PM – 1:13 PM

  • 6th Hour: 1:18 PM – 1:51 PM

  • 7th Hour: 1:56 PM – 2:30 PM


Activities for Non-Testing Grades

Students not scheduled to test will still attend school and participate in structured learning activities.

Wednesday, April 8

  • Seniors and Freshmen not testing will participate in class meetings, work sessions, and study halls.

  • Students will follow their regular lunch schedule and attend afternoon classes.

  • Attendance will be taken for the full day.

Thursday, April 9

  • Seniors and Sophomores not testing will participate in class meetings, work sessions, and study halls.

  • Students will follow their regular lunch schedule and attend afternoon classes.

  • Attendance will be taken for the full day.


Important Reminders for Testing Students

Families can help students prepare for success by keeping these reminders in mind:

  • Arrive on time: Students should arrive by 7:28 AM. Late arrivals may delay testing.

  • Bring required items: Students must bring a valid school ID and any permitted testing materials.

  • Charge devices: If required, students should ensure devices are fully charged before testing day.

  • Plan ahead: Attendance during testing is very important. Please avoid scheduling appointments on testing days. To maintain a secure testing environment, students will not be called out of classrooms while testing is in progress.


Meals and Transportation

Breakfast will be available before testing begins. A full lunch will be served to all students after testing concludes. Regular transportation schedules will remain unchanged.
